Qualifications
I have an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP* accredited] and have been a practising counsellor and psychotherapist for 15 years, working both privately and within an organisational setting.
I have an Advanced Diploma in Forensic Counselling and Psychotherapy to support my work in prisons. Also a Certificate in Trauma Work as I see many clients who have had distressing experiences. A number of my clients seem to benefit from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I have a Certificate in CBT to support this work.
As a member of the BACP I am expected to complete 30 hours of Continual Professional Development (CPD) each year and this enables me to keep up to date with new developments and expand on my original training.
I supervise both individual therapists and groups and have a Diploma in Supervision.
As an individual member of the BACP* [Accredited], I am bound by its ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy and subject to the professional conduct therein.
